Credit Reference Agencies

A Credit Reference Agency or Credit Reference Bureau, is a company that collects information from various sources, including banks, lenders, local government and provides consumer credit information on individuals in order to assess the individual's credit worthiness, the behaviour of the individual in terms of repaying debts, the whereabouts of the individual and whether any County Court Judgements have been issued against the individual for debt owed.

It also registers data as to whether the customer is in default of their repayment obligatons for a debt or whether they have been made bankrupt. You can check your status by contacting one of the credit reference agencies below.
